  Vehicle: (Base Vehicle)

1971 Scout II with a cab top (Half Cab) as well as a full size top

2WD, 304, 2 barrel carb, headers, 3 spd trans, no rear axle and the

front axle had drum brakes

Frame, tub and engine were retained for the final project


  Modifications:

Power Steering - 1976 Scout II

Power Brakes - front disc, rear drum - 1976 Scout II

Tilt Steering column - 1979 Traveler

Factory AC bracket installed with York to provide On-Board-Air

1979 wiring Harness incorporated to provide a fuse block

Hallogen H4 motorcycle lights

and so much more...


  Engine:

IH 304 - all new gaskets and freeze plugs installed

Holley Points Distributer

Holley 2 Barrel Carb

Felpro Gaskets

lapped valves and rebuilt heads

Headers (had to repair small holes)

Electric fuel pump - mounted near fuel tank

Radiator - 1978 Ford Bronco with 400 CID, mounted

1/2 inch forward to make space for an electric fan.

cooling fan - lincoln Continential Mark VIII (F2DE8C607AB)

3 WIRE, 2 SPD electric fan

180 degree thermostat

Altenator - 12SI 94 amp clocked at 3:00 - Buick Regal (Lester 7294-3)


  Exhaust:

Headers

turbo mufflers - 2" inch pipes


  Transmission:

727 Automatic acquired from 1976 scout

Factory Trans cooler 1979 Traveler


  Transfer Case:

Dana 20 lowered 1 inch to make rear driveline align within desired specs.


  Drive lines:

factory 1971 2wd driveline modifed by RawkRash Industries to fit new

length requirement


  Suspension:

Incorporating springs from Ford. We gained more lift than anticpated.

Front: Leaf spring - 2 1/4" wide x 54" long, 1968 Ford 1/2 ton 2wd rear

springs positioned approx 3.5 inches forward

Rear: Leaf spring - 3" wide x 56" long, 1986 Ford full size Bronco 4wd rear

springs, which were moved under the frame and aft approx 4 inches

spring hangers fabricated as needed

new bushings installed while we were at it

Shackles: made by Toni, 3"x9"x1" plate - these are 7" center to center

wheelbase is 107.5 inches long. slightly longer than a stock Bronco


  Axles/differentials:

Front; Dana 44, with rebuilt factory Trac-Loc

Rear; Dana 44, with open carrier, welded solid with a lincoln Locker

Ring and Pinion; stock 3.54:1


  Tires:

36x12.5x15 Super Swamper TSL's

15x8 directional wheels


  Body:

tub - 1971 scout II, rear cut to fit larger tires

doors - 2 sets, stock doors 1979 traveler, half doors 1976 scout

top - 1971 full size

hood - 1974 scout, hood ornament (1936 Theraplane)

front fenders - 1979 traveler

bumpers - RawkRash industries and my own designs

cage - fabricated using 2 stock roll bars and 2" DOM (future)


  Paint:

Frame - Rustoleum Flat Black

Interior - Herculiner / Krylon Rust tough Flat Black

Exterior -

Engine - Duplicolor Chrysler Industrial red

Engine compartment - Krylon Rust Tough semiflat black


  Future plans:

Countless modifications not yet thought of
